Zonketrafe is an Argentinean production company of comics and other arts. Zonketrafe was born in the 1980s, founded by two boys, Sebastián and Mariano, who were in third grade at a primary school in a Buenos Aires neighbourhood. Every day they looked forward to recess to draw their characters and imagine their stories, which they would continue at home.

When they finished school, the distance did not prevent them from continuing to work together, doing what they loved: creating comics. At a time when there was no Internet, their drawings came and went by post.

Later, always working with their characters and stories, they met the master Solano López, illustrator of El Eternauta, whose influence was decisive in their creative careers.

In the second decade of the 2000s, Cynthia joined them and since then, the three of us work together in the creation of comics and transmit our knowledge to the new generations of artists.

Zonketrafe is also a musical universe, which shares the same playful spirit as the comics. Here you will find Mariano's music, which mixes elements of funk, rock and soul, with thought-provoking lyrics that blend sharp social criticism with biting humour about contemporary reality.
